Site Location

Background

The site is the former home of one of the largest car plants in the world. It was most recently used for a dress rehearsal of the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and formed the backdrop for the popular British film ‘Made in Dagenham’.

Creating a memorable space

As a site with such a rich and unique history, our vision for Beam Park seeks to create a place that sustainably supports a community through provision of exceptional housing options and green space. A place that local people want to be, and can afford to live in.

Connections to existing communities and transport connections are therefore essential to draw people into, and to stay, in Beam Park. Providing easy and safe connections to both the proposed Beam Park station and the Dagenham Dock station to the south-west of the site will ensure that Beam Park lives up to its potential as an exemplar development on London Riverside.
